In July 2023, RCHC became involved with the migrant shelter crisis in Toronto as a result of first hand exposure to refugees tenting on the streets.
RCHC has partnered with community leaders, faith leaders and other non-profit organizations to coordinate a concerted effort of relief, wrap around services and advocacy to keep government officials accountable and vigilant. These efforts are ongoing to date.
